Scrapbook Posted on November 2, 2018 by jhundredSeptember 6, 2019 We always have a few photos that haven’t fit anywhere else so we end with a scrapbook: The wear and tear of well-seasoned athletes–knee version. Wear and tear of well-seasoned cyclists–shoulder version. We learned the reason that many statues have polished big toes–rubbing the big toe reportedly brings good luck! Popular canopy looks as good down as up. Ancient stone roof, guaranteed to leak… And then they learned how to shingle stone…. How to keep pigeons from fowling historic window ledges. Wind turbines lined the inland mountains of the Peljesac Peninsula. Watch your head! HW heaters are often hung overtop commodes or in showers. We saw NO accessible bathrooms in our travels, which is especially surprising given the recent war (and presumed damaged limbs). The Croatian surgeon general is very direct with the messaging. Cigarette package in Croatian–rain messed up this photo, which shows gruesome skin sores due to artery damage. Proof Croatia is a good time. (Thanks to one of our travel mates for the photo.)
